Why do people run marathons? What is the Fibonacci Code? Is there a ghost in Hudson Bay? What kinds of weapons were used in WWI?

Find out the answers, and more as we learn the stories of Ancient Greece, the vikings, early explorers, colonial life, the US Constitution, World War I, the Great Depression, and the history of China.

This year we will focus on History and all the music, art, literature, science, math, geology and geography that goes with it. This will be a fun and engaging class where your scholar will learn, and love it. It's going to be a fabulous homeschooling year!

About The Mentor: Coni Sue loves to learn and mentor.  She has a 13 year teaching background in both charter schools and private classrooms. This will be her 7th year teaching history and her third year teaching ancient history in particular. She thoroughly enjoys it!  She has also organized and mentored youth classes on public speaking, state mock trial competitions, scholar writing, and math, as well as directed both Liberty Girls and Statesmanship clubs. Currently she is home schooling Sophia (18) and Kip (13) and was recently elected as a state delegate. Along with that, she enjoys reading, playing games, hiking, running and laughing. But mentoring history for the youth is her passion.
